This is a unique opportunity for all Salishan Leaseholders and those interested in living in Salishan to learn more

about protecting our oceanfront. Plan on attending the OPRD Presentation on April 15, 2023, Saturday, 3:00 pm

Salishan Community Center and the Wine Social that follows. 5-7 PM (donations of wine are gladly accepted) 

Our guest speakers from the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department are:

Guy Rodrigue, Central Park Resource Manager

Tyler Blanchette, Ocean Shore Permit Specialist

Please join the Oceanfront Committee members for this informative presentation and conversation with these

lead staff from OPRD. Learn how the Salishan Spit has been impacted by ocean events more frequently over the

last decade and how the State is dealing with this reality. Guy Rodrigue and Tyler Blanchette work directly with

leaseholders and contractors to prepare and approve permits to build riprap structures on the Salishan

oceanfront. They will address the following:

• The oceanfront protection process in Salishan

• The Salishan Common Permit – a unique opportunity for neighboring leaseholds

• Goal 18 – Salishan eligibility
